Description
Staurogyne rubescens is a beautiful and compact originating in the Southern Amazonas. Sturogyne is easy to keep and makes a wonderful foreground plant with it's lush green foliage. Additionally under the right conditions, and maintained correctly, it can be encouraged to create a wonderful and somewhat different looking carpet to your aquarium.
Staurogyne rubescens will benefit greatly from a good fertiliser, we recommend using EasyLife Profito to encourage growth. Additionally this plant will benefit from CO2; either through injection or the use of a liquid CO2 product such as EasyLife EasyCarbo.Â
To achieve a carpet with this plant, after planting the longest stems of should be cut, this will encourage new stems to grow outwards, slowly populating the substrate and creating a carpet effect. To achieve this we highly recommend the use of fertiliser, CO2, and effective lighting.
