The Smudge-spot Cory is recommended for community aquariums. Keep them in groups of 5 or more on a soft sand substrate, as they are shoaling fish. Provide shaded areas and a small gap between the water's surface and cover slides to allow them to breathe air intestinally. They may do this multiple times per day. The Violet Cory is also sold under this name.
