To minimize aggression, it is important to research compatible combinations and avoid mixing similar-looking species.
Unlike Mbuna, the Haps prefer more open tank layouts and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet. It is possible to create a community of less aggressive Mbuna and Haps in a large, well-filtered tank with frequent water changes. Alternatively, some keepers opt for a single male with multiple females, creating a colorful and lively display.
