Rabbit Snails, also known as Poso or Elephant Snails, are freshwater snails with an exotic appearance, unlike that of Ramshorn or Nerite snails.
Their elongated cone-shaped shell is similar to that of the Malaysian Trumpet Snail, while their two lengthy antennae resemble rabbit ears and their snouts resemble an elephant's, earning them their unique names.
These snails are typically found in the lakes of Sulawesi, Indonesia, and come in various colors and sizes, such as Golden, Chocolate, and Yellow. With a lifespan of up to 3 years, they make great long-term additions to planted tanks. Rabbit Snails can reach up to 3 inches in size, with smaller snails indicating a younger age rather than poor health.
