Sterbai Corydoras are some of the most common Cory sub species on the market. With their leopard print colouration, they make a wonderful addition to any community or species tank.
Corydoras Catfish are a staple in the fishkeeping community. With literally hundreds of different sub species, they come in all different shapes and sizes. The best thing about them is that they are extremely easy to keep. All they require is well maintained water, soft substrate (sand, aquatic soil, etc...), and plenty of plants and decoration to explore. These fish are extremely rewarding and are captivating to watch. They will regularly be seen swimming to the surface of the tank for air and then swimming back to the bottom of the tank.
A tank size of no less than 40L is needed to keep Corydoras as they love to swim around and explore. They prefer to be kept in temperatures between 22 degrees to 26 degrees so a heater is required to properly house these fish. Corydoras will grow between 1 inch and 2.5 inches depending on their species.
In terms of tank mates Corydoras are very easy going. Being extremely peaceful fish they will thrive in a community tank setting with other peaceful species. They should be kept in groups of no less than 4 but will truly thrive in large groups as they are a shoaling fish.
It is very difficult not to love this species.
